Duration

7 Days / 6 Nights

Group Size

2–10 Guests

Tour Overview

Experience Tanzania at the right pace.

Approach Kilimanjaro from the west on a seven-day Lemosho camping trek. The proposed route crosses the Shira Plateau, visits the Lava Tower area before descending to Barranco, and continues through Karanga and Barafu before a summit attempt and descent via Mweka.

This seven-day version combines the Shira Plateau stages into a longer second day. It offers varied scenery and opportunities to walk higher before sleeping lower, but should not be described as optimal acclimatization for every climber. Discuss a longer itinerary if a gentler ascent is preferred. Six mountain nights are included in the duration; Arusha briefing and recovery hotel nights are arranged separately.
