Depart Arusha early for Tarangire National Park. Spend the main part of the day on a game drive with a picnic lunch, then continue to Karatu for the night. Begin from an Arusha hotel rather than a same-day international arrival so the park visit has adequate time.
Travel through the Ngorongoro highlands towards the Serengeti. A brief visit with a community-approved host can be arranged along the route if confirmed in advance and compatible with the day’s driving. Continue to your Serengeti camp with wildlife viewing en route. This is primarily a transfer day; park access, hosting and road conditions determine the final schedule.
Leave camp early for a morning game drive in the central Serengeti. After lunch, begin the road journey back towards the Ngorongoro highlands for the final overnight stay. Focus on resident wildlife close to the route; distant migration areas and river crossings are outside the scope of this short extension.
Descend into the crater for a game drive within the permitted visit window, with a packed lunch. Afterwards, ascend and return by road to Arusha. Arrange an overnight stay in Arusha or a suitably timed onward connection after the operator confirms the schedule; an early flight cannot be combined with this day.
