Personal safaris. Local knowledge. A shared future for people and nature.
Our story
African Real Nature is a locally based safari company in Arusha, Tanzania — the gateway to the country’s northern safari circuit.
Our company was founded by Tanzanian safari professionals with years of experience guiding travellers through national parks, conservation areas and local communities. We know these places not only as destinations, but as part of our home, our heritage and our everyday lives.
We believe a safari should feel personal, well paced and genuinely connected to the places you visit. From the first conversation to the final game drive, we combine thoughtful planning with the practical field knowledge of local guides who understand wildlife behaviour, changing seasons, road conditions, landscapes and the small details that make every journey memorable.
The people behind your journey
Our team is made up of experienced local guides and safari professionals who are passionate about sharing Tanzania responsibly.
We operate our safaris ourselves and work directly with our guests. This means you are not simply being passed from one agency to another. From planning your itinerary to guiding you in the field, we remain closely involved throughout your journey.
Our guides bring years of experience, local knowledge and a strong sense of responsibility. For us, guiding is not only about finding wildlife. It is also about helping our guests understand the environment, respect local communities and experience Tanzania in a meaningful way.
Tourism that benefits local people
When you travel with African Real Nature, your journey contributes to more than just your own safari experience.
Tourism supports many people across Tanzania, including guides, drivers, lodge staff, local suppliers, craftspeople, farmers and small businesses. By choosing a locally operated safari company, you help create opportunities within the communities that make tourism possible.
We believe that when tourism grows responsibly, local communities should grow with it.
Your safari therefore becomes part of a wider story — supporting local employment, encouraging local businesses and helping Tanzania’s tourism industry continue moving forward.
People, wildlife and landscapes
Our natural resources and wildlife are among Tanzania’s greatest treasures.
We believe conservation becomes stronger when local people can also see and experience the benefits of protecting wildlife, landscapes and natural resources.
Our hope is to contribute to a future where tourism, conservation and communities support one another.
By protecting our natural heritage today, we help ensure that future generations can continue to experience Tanzania’s wildlife, landscapes and cultural richness.
For us, conservation is not only about wildlife. It is also about protecting the relationship between people, nature and the places we all depend on.
