Not every great safari needs two weeks. Sometimes three days is all it takes to feel the dust of the savanna, lock eyes with an elephant at close range, and watch flamingos turn a lake pink at sunset.
This three-day itinerary pairs two of Tanzania's most rewarding parks—Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant concentrations and iconic baobab landscape, and Lake Manyara National Park, a compact but wildlife-dense park wrapped around one of East Africa's most scenic soda lakes.
You are picked up directly from Kilimanjaro Airport or your Arusha hotel and dropped back when your adventure ends. Everything in between—we handle it.

Your guide meets you at the airport or hotel and wastes no time—you are heading straight into Tarangire National Park for your first game drive.
Tarangire is Tanzania’s elephant capital. Hundreds of elephants gather along the Tarangire River during the dry season, making for some of the most dramatic elephant sightings on the continent. The landscape itself is unforgettable—enormous ancient baobabs rise from golden grasslands, with wildlife at every turn.
What to expect:
The evening game drive concludes at sunset. Enjoy dinner at camp with the sounds of the African bush around you.
After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park—a short drive that delivers a completely different wildlife experience.
Manyara is small in size but extraordinary in diversity. The park runs along the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, with the soda lake taking up a third of the park’s area. The famous tree-climbing lions of Manyara are unique to this region and may be spotted draped lazily across fig-tree branches in a behaviour still debated by scientists.
What to expect:
Enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic picnic site. Continue the afternoon game drive before heading to your accommodation for dinner.
Your final morning is flexible, depending on your flight. Options include:
Your guide will plan the morning around your flight time to ensure a smooth, stress-free transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha.
Flights departing after 1:00 PM allow for a comfortable morning activity before the transfer.
